Partnership, Sponsorship and BEE
We are a signatory to the Construction Charter and actively support the implementation of the BEE Codes of Good Practice as they provide us with a framework through which we can work closely with the industry to drive meaningful transformation that adds value to the sector.
The elements of BEE outlined in the Codes of Good Practice include:
- Ownership
- Leadership and Control
- Employment Equity
- Skills Development
- Enterprise Development
- Procurement
- Socio-economic Development
Why does Khuthaza Support BEE?
Our women are our first priority and both their needs and the opportunities in the market guide our work. By supporting women in the industry, our sponsors and partners, the construction industry, government and society all derive immense benefit.
Organisations such as Khuthaza facilitate the implementation of policies supporting transformation. We act as a talent pipeline for the industry.
Transformation is a dynamic and collaborative process. One which requires commitment and effort at all levels of society.
Our development programmes fall within the realms of enterprise development and socio-economic development, thereby affording our sponsors and partners the opportunity to participate within and claim points for these elements of the BEE framework.
We provide corporate South Africa with the opportunity to entrust a group of professional development practitioners with the task of ensuring that their development spend is put to use most effectively.
Individual growth is made possible when there is movement towards collective growth. By supporting BEE through contributions to Khuthaza, companies are able to improve their BEE ranking thus creating further opportunities for growth within their own areas of operation.
Through contributions, our sponsors and partners are able to effect change – change that will contribute to prosperity in the industry.
Khuthaza’s links to BEE
Our strategic growth plan offers sponsors and partners with a number of opportunities to work together in maximising the impact of transformation to the benefit of all.
| Ownership | Khuthaza is establishing an investment company to enable collective investment opportunities for women involved in the sector. |
| Leadership and Control | We aim to offer high level leadership programmes for women with the potential to play strategic roles in the industry. We also aim to assist the industry in finding women with the relevant skills and potential to fulfil these leadership positions. |
| Employment Equity | Our network of women is growing. We thus offer a pool from which industry role-players can identify talent. |
| Skills Development | We see ourselves as a talent pipeline for the construction industry. We make it a priority to identify and develop valuable technical and business skills and as such offer a number of skills development programmes. |
| Enterprise Development | Khuthaza has significant experienced in contractor development. Partner with us in developing the skills within women owned construction businesses. Through a number of initiatives we can work together to increase the capacity of these businesses and the value they can add to your supply chain. |
| Procurement | Enterprise Development and Procurement provide us with an opportunity to develop the capacity of women owned businesses at the same time bringing these companies into the supply chain. |
| Socio-economic Development | Contributions to the organisation enable us to bring more women into the economy, into the sector, and to move up within its ranks. Contributions to Khuthaza qualify for full points. |
