BEE encourages companies to procure / buy their goods and services from BEE compliant companies as well as from small companies. BEE also promotes the development of smaller businesses by rewarding established companies for their role in supporting and investing in the development of SMMEs.
Women contractors can benefit from BEE through:
- The preference given to black owned or empowered companies (procurement)
- Funds and support available from the industry to develop smaller businesses (enterprise development)
- Joining forces with more established companies (ownership)
- The industry’s support of and involvement in Khuthaza’s Contractor Development programmes
